Bio:
Andrew leads the Conservative Party's campaign to tackle global poverty. Serving as a UN peacekeeper in Cyprus in the 1970's he went on to work and travel extensively in Africa and East Asia. Andrew was MP for Gedling from 1987 to 1997 and was a Government Minister from 1992 to 1997. For a number of years he has been heavily involved in the Alexandra Rose organisation, which supports small charities that help children and disabled people. He is currently the Secretary of State for International Development.
