Bio:
Before entering Parliament George was a former stockbroker and chairman of a chain of veterinary surgeries. He also has a property investment business which he returned to after the 2005 election where he contested Winchester. He has been a councillor on Winchester City Council since 1999. He has also been a cabinet member and deputy leader at the council since 2006. George has been elected to both the Communities and Local Government and Works of Art Select Committees.
